Come join us every Sunday for a spirited road bike ride through Rock Creek, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, Potomac and back to the Shop! If you want to experience a true group road ride, our ride will not disappoint!

The Bicycle Place Team meets 8:15 am at the Store; wheels are rolling by 8:45ish. The group consists of about 40+ riders and growing every weekend. We'll wait at some points along the route to regroup. We work on making everyone a safer and faster rider by working on pacelines, hill climbing, and sprinting within a group. Please make sure you and your bike are in good working order before the ride.
We'll try to maintain a paceline when possible. Our pacelines will vary in speed but are normally 5 to 10 mph higher than our overall average mph.

The ride will meander through the residential sections of Chevy Chase and Bethesda. Eventually, we'll be on Macarthur blvd. and the Clara Barton Pkwy. Climb up to Falls Rd., down to Great Falls, turn around back up to Falls Rd., out to Potomac Village, back onto Democracy Blvd., through Wildwood, to Beach Dr. and back to the shop.
It's about 36-38 miles.
We'll always say-"If you don't know the way, don't lead!"

Afterwards, we continue to our neighborhood cafe, The RED DOG CAFE for Lavazza coffee and post-ride banter!

This ride continues year-round, so stock up now on seasonal clothing!

No rides in rain, sleet, or snow.
